Who we are

Man With Van London operates this website at https://manwithvan.london. For data-protection purposes we are the controller of the personal data you submit here. You can reach us at hello@manwithvan.london.

What we collect

Through the quote form: your name, phone number, email address, pickup address, drop-off address, your moving date if you give one, and whatever you write in the notes field. Nothing else on this site collects personal information.

We also receive standard technical information that any web server receives — IP address, browser type, pages requested — and, where analytics is enabled, aggregated usage measurement.

Why we hold it

To prepare and send you a quote, to answer your enquiry, and to carry out the work if you book it. The lawful basis is the steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

Who sees it

Our own staff, and the service providers that operate this site — hosting, email delivery, spam protection and analytics. On a collection, the seller is told only what they need to know to release the item. On an overland move, the details necessary for the transport documentation and the declarations are used for that purpose and no other.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

Spam protection

The quote form is protected by a bot-detection service. Its operation involves that provider receiving technical signals from your browser, governed by that provider's own privacy terms.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings are kept only as long as they are useful for follow-up, then deleted. Where we reply saying a job is not a van job, we do not pass the enquiry to another firm. Records relating to completed work are kept for as long as tax, accounting and insurance obligations require.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict that use. Write to hello@manwithvan.london and we will respond within the period the law allows.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Where analytics is enabled, that service may set cookies to measure aggregate usage. Your browser settings control whether it accepts them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version appears here. Material changes affecting how we use data already collected will be brought to your attention directly where we can.
